Need any more reasons for why Missouri needs the FairTax? Our current tax system drives jobs and trillions of dollars offshore, punishes workers, small businesses, investors, corporations, and seniors. Research supports eliminating the income tax. The statistics above need to be posted in every government office in this state as a reminded of the economic failure of our current tax system, the same system that is killing American prosperity.

What can the MO FairTax Bill sponsored by Ed Emery and passed through the House of Representatives last year do for Missouri?

-It eliminates the state's 6% tax on personal income
-It eliminates the state's 6.25% tax on corporate icome
-It lowers the economic hurdles for starting a new business
-It replaces the current MO sales tax of 4.225% by a 5.11% sales tax on NEW goods and services
-It does not tax purchases of used items
-It is revenue neutral for state and local commuities
-It effectively triples the tax base by collecting taxes from services, illegal aliens, and the
black market industry
-It makes Missouri a more attractive business location than competing states

Missouri must stop bleeding money and compliance man-hours into the broken income tax system. For more information go to www.MOFairTax.org and www.FairTax.org. or join Callaway Citizens for FairTax and work for a better future for our children.

How Does Missouri Get the Fair Tax Passed?

If you want to know how to put a stop to the above troubles you and your fellow Missourians are having join Bev Martin on Oct 29th.

You are invited to attend our Callaway Citizens for FairTax meeting October 29th. The meeting will be held at the Callaway Electric Coop located at 1313 Cooperative Drive, Fulton, MO. The meeting starts at 7:00. We hope you will attend. We are sending this invitation to our elected officials in Fulton and Callaway County. As citizens of Missouri, we want to know if you support the FairTax. If you do not support the FairTax, we invite you to explain your concerns either in person or in writing so that an open, honest discussion can occur. This issue is too important for Missouri for its citizens not to know where their elected officials stand on the issue. If you are unfamiliar with the FairTax, please visit the webs above or contact Representative Ed Emery at Ed.Emery@house.mo.gov or
417-398-2685. Thank you. Please R.S.V.P to Bev by calling 573-642-7540 if you plan on attending.
